For Woodland Junior High school's fiftieth anniversary they had a nice Italian dinner, A Night In Italy, for all of the community to attend. Brandyn is in student government there and they were in charge of the entire evening. Student government and yearbook received the funds from the ticket sales. Bryce and Brandyn played piano music throughout the night for people to enjoy while they were eating. Brandyn was also given an award that night for winning the school's poetry contest. (he wrote about Woodland's fifty year anniversary) This is his poem:
The Semicentennial School
Woodland, Woodland, Junior High
The school where academic legacy resides
The place where Cowboy pride runs deep
Where the yearn for knowledge never sleeps
For 50 years the tradition has stood
Longer than any other ever would
Bold, strong, true-our earned reputation
Grand,rich,sublime-the quality of education
The teachers, amazing they are,
Train learners destined to go far
The coaches, full of integrity and honor,
Teach values to athletes while earning a banner
The staff members, standing together and true
Hold the whole school together like Elmer's glue
As life-long learners, together we progress
Discovering excellence, duty, and success
